Pippin Barry

Principal

I started Dexterity Law because I wanted a platform to help my clients without the constraints of a traditional law firm. I’m passionate about providing legal services in a way that is accessible, understandable and (optimistically) enjoyable.

I previously worked at a Magic Circle firm in London where I developed a strong legal skillset and a good understanding of what clients need when they come to see a lawyer. Before London, I trained with a top-tier Melbourne law firm.

Example matters I’ve helped my clients with include:

  • acting for a start-up to sell their e-commerce business to a US fund;

  • advising a start-up on the implementation of their ESOP;

  • refinancing assets to improve commercial performance;

  • defending claims of breach of intellectual property;

  • claiming unpaid amounts owing under a contract for the sale of land;

  • selling non-performing debt to improve a company’s financial position;

  • seeking competition clearance for the merger of two businesses; and

  • responding to a regulatory investigation into allegations of price-fixing.
